Ghana coach Yusif Bassigi has confirmed he will be inviting three foreign-based players to beef up the Black Queens ahead of their African Women’s Championship campaign.

The Black Queens have been drawn in a tough group at this year’s tournament to be staged in Namibia where they will be facing South Africa, Cameroon and Algeria.

Ghana will be hoping to win its first ever African title when they make a 10th appearance at this year’s finals.

Black Queens coach Yusif Bassigi is determined to chalk success with his side at this year’s tournament.

He wants to assemble the best possible squad for the competition and has thus confirmed he will be calling up three foreign-based players to beef up his team ahead of the tough African challenge.

“We will be inviting three foreign-based players to beef up the team,” Bassigi told Asempa FM.

“We have to prepare the side very well with the best available materials for the challenge ahead.

“And this is the reason why we are bringing in these players.”
