Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is confident his 'young' players will bounce back stronger from their 2014 World Cup disappointment to excel in future tournaments.

The Black Stars crashed out of the World Cup being staged in Brazil after the first round.

The Ghana team exited the competition without a win after finishing bottom of Group G with just one point.

This is the worst ever performance of the Black Stars at the World Cup since making their debut in Germany 2006.

The Ghana team was hit with several side issues including bonus row and disciplinary issues.

The fallouts have the potential of further disintegrating the team that the current coach started putting together when he was appointed in 2012.

But Kwesi Appiah believes his young guns have learnt a lot from their failed bid in Brazil to become better performers in future.

“Many of these players are young players we are building for the future,” he said.

“So right from the defence, midfield and attack there wouldn't been any perfection.

“I have learnt a lot from this tournament and I believe they have also learnt a lot.

“And they will correct these mistakes.”
