Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has hit back at his critics who have discounted his team's performance at the 2010 African Nations Cup and claimed the Black Stars reached the final by sheer luck.
The Serbian is furious pundits are refusing to praise his young squad for their work ethics in the tournament but rather attribute it to luck.
Ghana have been criticized for playing ugly football and have edged past opponents by the skin-of-the-teeth to play in Sunday's final in Angola.
The Black Stars recoil and defend after taking the lead and have done that with discipline against Burkina Faso, Angola and Nigeria.
Milo, as he affectionately called in Ghana, iterated how his troops have fought hard for wins and was quick to chronicle events in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
"If you look at all previous results even during in the World Cup qualification campaign. How? You know it's not easy-strong teams. Mali-excellent team-You know so many big stars in big clubs but we managed to qualify without conceeding a goal. Is that luck orperformance?," the 56-year Serb quizzed.
"We managed to qualify for the World Cup. Is that luck? We managed to reach the (Nations Cup)final now. What do you think? Can you be that lucky?
"The local Black Stars, with a totally different team, we played against eight senior teams and we reached the final again. What is it? Is it luck or something else? Think about it," he added.
Ghana play Africa Cup of Nations holders Egypt on Sunday at the Estadio de 11 Novembro in Luanda.
