Ghana coach identifies weakness at CHAN

Ghana coach Herbert Addo has identified the "loss of concentration at crucial time" as his team's bane at the African Nations Championship after suffering two defeats in a row.

The local Black Stars are facing elimination from the Group stage after slipping to a sorry 1-0 defeat to Zimbabwe at the Stade Wad Madani.

Addo claims his 4-4-2 formation worked in the first half but the team wilted after the break.

"We selected the best players from our local league in Ghana and we planned to reach the final but now the odds of that happening are one in a million" Addo told the press.

Ghana have faint hopes of progressing after Caf’s official website revealed goal difference and not the head-to-head rule will be used in the Group classifications.

The local Black Stars play Niger at the Stade Wad Madani on Sunday.
