Ghana center-backs John Boye and Isaac Vorsah are yet to return first team action for their clubs since getting injured in 2013.

The two players have however started training with their clubs (Vorsah - Red Bull Salzburg) and (Boye - Stade Rennes).

Vorsah, a former Asante Kotoko player has been out of competitive action since May 2013 after damaging his knee while in action for Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga - an injury that ended his participation in Ghana's 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.

Boye on the other side has not been involved in any first team football for Rennes since coming off the substitute bench in Rennes' 0 -0 stalemate with Lille in August.

However, the defensive pair are on course to recover as Salzburg named Vorsah in their mid-season training squad while John Boye has played a game for Rennes' second string side.

But Boye for instance is yet to gain full match fitness as he was left out of Stade Rennes' 1-1 draw against Lille in the Ligue 1's return fixture Friday night.

Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah is likely to include the two established defenders in his final 23-man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
