Ghana coach Maxwell Konadu admits Black Stars need experienced strikers for Togo game
Asamoah Gyan could be risked to play against Togo

Ghana's stand-in coach Maxwell Konadu says they must inject some experience in their attack if they are to defeat Togo in Wednesday's final 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Injuries and suspension forced the Black Stars coach to exclude three key players including strikers Asamoah Gyan and Jordan Ayew from their defeat to Uganda on Saturday.

His strikers on the day Abdul Majeed Waris and David Accam could not trouble the Ugandan goalkeeper which might have contributed to the 1-0 defeat.

Knowing the importance of the game and the lack of experience in the squad presented for the Uganda game, Konadu says even though the players were excellent the presence of experienced players like Gyan could have helped their cause.

"Waris played very, very well especially in the first half and by the time Accam was on the game was too hot. I think they did their best," Konadu said.

"But I agree we missed especially Asamoah Gyan who can turn half a chance into a goal.

"But we will still go ahead and we must learn to play without key ones.

"We only need to give the young ones our support and we will create chances and support them,” he said.

The Black Stars need at least a draw against Togo to secure automatic qualification to the tournament in Equatorial Guinea early next year.
