Ghana set to play China in friendly next month

The Ghana Football Association says it is considering a proposal to play China in an international friendly next month.

The Black Stars want to take advantage of the FIFA free date for international friendlies on August 15.

This is to help coach Kwesi Appiah to fine tune his preparations for September's 2013 Africa Cup of Nations final round qualifier against Malawi.

MTNFootball.com understands some new faces particularly in-form striker Abdul Majeed Waris who leads the Swedish League scorers chart will be invited.

Last month, coach Appiah toured Norway and Sweden where he held talks with potential national team players.

Stromsgodset left-back Razak Nuhu was spotted and could also earn a debut call-up for Ghana’s next assignment.

Olympique Marseille talisman Andre Ayew, who missed this summer's double header against Lesotho and Zambia due to a shoulder injury, could make a return.

The Black Stars want to bounce back to winning ways after June’s 1-0 defeat to Zambia in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
