Ghana coach Avram Grant is brooding over the availability of Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah for next month's 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Uganda.

The 27-year-old is lined up to undergo further checks to assess the extent on Sunday morning at J-Medical to help him recover quickly from a knee strain he suffered while in action for the Bianconeris on Saturday evening.

Juventus have confirmed the former Udinese man will undergo the knife and could spend over 3 weeks in the treatment room.

"Kwadwo Asamoah and Daniele Rugani underwent medical tests following tonight’s match away in Palermo, which revealed sprains to their right knees. Both players will undergo more specialist checks tomorrow at J-Medical," a club statement read.

Ghana coach Avram Grant was planning to line up the energetic midfielder for a Black Stars return following his return to full fitness and earning regular playing time for Max Allegri's side.
