Ghana defender David Addy has sealed a two-year move to Portuguese club Vitoria Guimaraeas, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 22-year-old’s move thus marks the end of a torrid two-year stay with giants FC Porto.

The former Randers FC player has been linked with several clubs since he was dropped from Porto’s squad for the new season last month.

However Guimaraes emerged more eager to sign the 2009 U-20 World Cup winner by tabling the best offer to land their man before the closure of the European transfer window.

Addy can now get his career back on track after the end of his limited first team opportunities at Porto.

He was twice farmed out on loan first to Academica de Coimbra and then to Panetolikos in the Greek league where he made 25 first team appearances and scored two goals last season.
