Ghana defender David Addy was voted the Man-of-the-Match on his debut for Vitoria Guimaraes.

The 22-year-old scored what eventually proved to be the winner in Friday's 1-0 win over Moreirense in the Portuguese top flight.

His solidity at the back with his surging runs upfront to provide pin-point crosses plus his goal was enough to convince the match assessors.

The 2009 U-20 World Cup winner arrived from Porto this summer in search of regular first team action.

He had very limited first team opportunities during his two-year stay with the Portuguese champions and as a result was twice farmed out on loan.

The ex Randers FC player finally decided to leave after he was excluded from the official Porto squad for this season.

Addy's return to first team action is a delight to many who believed his immense talent was being put to waste during his time at Porto.
