Black Stars defender Jerry Akaminko was shown a straight red in Eskisehirspor's 0-0 stalemate with Rizespor in the Turkish top-flight league on Saturday.

The center-back received his marching orders 7 minutes from time at the Yeni Rize ?ehir Stad? after applying a dangerous tackle on Rizespor midfielder Tevfik Klose.

Eskisehirspor had failed to create decent chances upfront and the host were taking advantage of their bluntness in attack to create chances but the Ghana international remained a big obstacle and when Akaminko's double-legged tackle went on the midfielder, the Turkish international dramatised as if an unannounced amputation had taken place.

Firat Aydinus - the centre referee walked up to the former Heart of Lions man and sent him off straight away but his side managed to hold their host for the remainder of the game, drawing 0-0.

The sending off means Akaminko will sit out for two more games before returning to play again in the Super Liga.
