Ghana defender Masahudu Alhassan will consider another loan stint away from Udinese if he is not guaranteed playing time by the Italian Serie A side.

The left-back will return to pre-season training at Udine when they resume training ahead of the new season later this month after spending an impressive loan stint with Latina last term.

The 23-year-old is frustrated at the lack of first team opportunities at the Serie A side who are bent on giving the opportunity to much older players and the Ghanaian has the feeling that is unlikely to change with the upcoming season.

With this in his mind, Alhassan says he will consider another loan spell away from the club if he get no chance to play with the first team with Udinese.

“Udinese have so many left-backs. They never gave me any chance. Perhaps they feel I will take someone’s position if I am considered," Alhassan said.

“Udinese are a purely business club and they give more credence to old players, so no matter how good you are, you will never feature until they sell the player who is already playing your position.

“I will have the pre-season with them. If the story remains the same and I do not get the chance in the first team, I will go on loan again.

Despite these frustrations, Alhassan is aware that he faces a tough fight for a position at Udinese because of the presence of other experienced defenders.

“Italian football is very difficult. We the defenders learn a lot. They don’t normally like young defenders. They prefer the old ones with lots of experience. I am still on the learning curve and enjoying football here,” he said.

Belgian side Mouscron and newly-promoted Serie A side Carpi are among the clubs keen on Alhassan.
