Ghana star Baba Rahman celebrate Chelsea's first goal in the game

Ghana defender Baba Rahman had an impressive debut for Chelsea on Wednesday night in the UEFA Champions League with 91% pass accuracy, helping the Blues turnaround their poor start to the Premier League season with a comfortable 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The 21-year-old looked jittery at the start but recovered with confidence as he won three tackles and floated two crosses in the match.

Baba was given the start at the left-back and with Cesar Azpilicueta moving to the other flank as the sloppy Branislav Ivanovic was benched.

Black Stars coach Avram Grant was one of the distinguished guests at Stamford Bridge as he watched his former side - in particular Baba Rahman in action.

Eden Hazard blasted a penalty over the bar early on against the Israeli side.

The goal came soon after when Willian's 35-yard free-kick evaded a crowd of players to bounce into the net.

Oscar doubled the lead from the spot, after Diego Costa was fouled, before the latter volleyed home and then Cesc Fabregas tapped in.
