Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman will complete his switch from German side Augsburg to Chelsea on Friday after the two clubs involved agreed on a deal.

Rahman, is closing in on a dream switch to the English league after months of negotiations between Chelsea and Augsburg.

Jose Mourinho made the former Asante Kotoko left back his first choice to replace Filipe Luis who has returned to Athletico Madrid.

Augsburg secured the services of Rahman from German division 1 side Greuther Furth last season for a fee of £ 2.5 but are selling him for £ 25m.

Rahman who has 11 caps for  Ghana was expected to arrive in the UK on Wednesday to complete the move but issues of visa acquisition has delayed his arrival.

GHANAsoccernet.com understand that he will now arrive in the UK on Friday to undergo a medical before signing a five year deal with the English Champions.
