Daniel Opare was in action for Standard Liege.

Daniel Opare dispelled reports that he was unfit for international duties by playing full-throttle for Standard Liege who defeated AA Gent 7-0 in the Europa League play-off.

The right-back missed the 1-0 first leg defeat away in the play-off in the Belgian Jupiler League.

Opare was a full-timer in eight of the ten matches in the Championship play-offs before picking up a minor injury.

A minor muscle injury allowed him to make only 12 appearances but in those games played full-time.

The 21-year-old was however left out of Ghana's squad for two 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches next month.

It was thought the right-back was left out of Ghana's squad because of injury but with his his full time action for Liege, it is clear he is fit for action.
