Ghana defender Daniel Opare will wear his favourite No.4 jersey at new club Augsburg.

The 24-year-old completed his move to the German Bundesliga side on Thursday after agreeing a three-year contract.

Opare, a versatile wing back,  has been signed as a replacement for compatriot Baba Rahman who is set to finalize his move to English champions Chelsea.

Opare was signed by Spanish giants Real Madrid after the 2007 FIFA U17 World Cup in Korea but he could not break into the first team due to injuries.

He later signed for Belgian Pro League side Standard Liege where he garnered a lot of first team experience including games in the Europa League and the qualifiers to the UEFAChampions League.

The former AshantiGold player later signed for Portuguese side FC Porto where he was loaned Turkish side Besiktas for the second half of last season.
