Ghana defender Edwin Gyimah says the Black Stars were restricted due to the uneven nature of the pitch at the Amahoro stadium in Kigali.

“We are very happy for the victory because we knew the pitch was not going to be in the best of shapes,” Gyimah told GHANAsoccernet.com

“You could tell we had to be very careful to grip the ball but the most important thing is that we won.”

A late strike from midfielder Mubarak Wakaso sealed a 1-0 victory over the Amavubi and also ensured Ghana continued their winning run in the qualifiers.

Gyimah who recently signed for South Africa giants Orlando Pirates also said was was enjoying his early days with the Bucs.

“For me I know that Pirates is a big club and from the first few days I have been with the team I have been extremely happy.”

"I am looking forward to helping out and giving off my best in every giving opportunity."
