Ghana defender Jeffrey Schlupp came off the bench to help promoted Leicester City earn a 2-2 draw with Everton in the opening weekend of the English Premier League.

The 21-year replaced Anthony Knockaert on 64 minutes when the Foxes were losing 2-1 to the Toffees at the King Power Stadium.

Compatriot Christian Atsu was an unused substitute by Everton who opened the scoring through Aiden McGeady in the 20th minute.

But José Leonardo Ulloa leveled two minutes later but Steven Naismith gave the visitors the lead again before the half-hour mark.

But with four minutes to the end, Chris Wood snatched the equalizer.
