AmaZulu midfielder John Arwuah has admitted to the stress and complications he has had to put up with during the off-season since the club’s relegation.

Arwuah gave a solid showing during Usuthu’s failed bid to survive and has indicated his obvious desire to continue playing in the PSL, though that is dependent on the club as he still has a running contract.

“I still have a contract with the club so all will depend on the club. However, I have to admit that this has really been a stressful off-season,” Arwuah is quoted by kickoff.com

“I never knew that getting relegated can be this complicated, especially when you are a player with ambitions of wanting to continue playing at the highest level.

“Just before the break the club indicated that they want me to stay and help them towards promotion, but nothing is definite as yet because they might be approached by another club and then agree to let me go. For now I will be going home for holiday this weekend.”

Usuthu will return for pre-season on July 4.

Arwuah joined Usuthu in January 2014 from Bloemfontein Celtic.
