Ghana defender John Boye has been named in Kayseri Erciyesspor’s roaster for next season in the Turkish top-flight, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 27-year-old joined the side from French outfit Stade Rennes on Tuesday, as exclusively revealed by Ghana’s leading football portal.

He has signed a three-year bumper deal with the club on a free transfer and will wear the No.7 jersey.

Boye refused to extend his expiring contract with French side Rennes as he sought opportunities elsewhere to boost his career.

This season could prove to be important for the club as they have made huge signings for the season.

The ambitious Turkish side Erciyesspor already have AC Milan midfielder Bakaye Traore, Senegalese defender Pape Diakhite and Portuguese forward Edinho in their fold.

The Ghana talented centre-back was linked with several clubs in the top leagues of Europe including Barcelona and Liverpool but nothing concrete has materialized.
