Ghana defender John Boye made his second French Ligue 1 appearance of the season by playing the entire duration of Rennes’ 3-0 win at Nantes.

The centre-back’s last game was back in August 2013 when they drew 0-0 with Lille at home.

Boye returned to competitive action after a lengthy injury layoff two weeks ago when he featured in the 1-0 win over Auxerre in the Coupe du France.

He has been invited for Ghana’s international friendly against Montenegro next month.

Boye picked up a hip injury after captaining Ghana in the defeat to Japan in an international friendly.
