Ghana defender John Pantsil has confirmed his departure from South African side Santos.

Pantsil, 32, joined the Santos on a six-month loan deal but has decided to move on following the side's  failure to secure promotion to the country’s top-flight League next season.

He has decided to pursue a new challenge elsewhere and confirmed he will not extend his deal with the club.

“Before I signed for Santos, I was not playing for any club and so wanted to keep myself in shape,” he told Power FM

“No big club was ready to sign me because I was not playing.

"So I used Santos as a stepping stone. Now that the season is over, I think I have made a good impact.

“I am hoping for the best next season. Definitely I’m not going stay in Santos.”

He joined the Fish as a free agent after being released by newly-promoted English side Leicester City.

Your ambition failed ! poor you .I am just surprised that this brother just choose to play for a second tier club in South Africa and expect a call up into the national team..concert party Greedy ones like john Mensah ,paintsil and Olele don't want to give chance to the young ones ..they hoped to play for the blackstars even when they have walking sticks in their hands-pathetic dudes. Painstil is a player I never trusted his defense and style of play. For your information England has dropped faithful servants like Ashely cole and jermain honorable paintsil ,yours is no news.. Omo,better go for coaching course if you still want to have anything to do with football ..that's the only way now... Good luck to you in your second life .

Hehehe! One of Sarkodie's many jargons says "money no be problem " .but for you Mr.USA English language be your problem..I am sorry for you ..I bet you are one of those dudes who started early child development school from the university and did your masters in a daycare center..I mean are directly opposite to reality. The word "poor" doesn't only mean someone without money ,,it can be used as a word of pity on someone you feel sorry for or sympathize with ..maybe consult your Oxford or Cambridge dictionary for your educational sake. Massa, you don't know me also enough to talk about money. Maybe your problem is with money wai..wo na wo bu sika..I am sorry it will be childish to draw comparison with you on what you drive or properties you own..but I hv a real comfortable life not washing plates in restaurants, doing living nor cleaning toilets..running my businesses both in Ghana and Europe wai..dwen wo ho ..think about your own self ...because when I made my first billion in old Ghana cedis ,most of you dudes were in the village tapping palm wine..
