Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah has hailed his international team-mate Frank Acheampong for his finish for Anderlecht against AS Monaco in the Uefa Europa League on Thursday evening.
Acheampong, 22, raced into the Monaco box to control an Mbodji intelligent cross from central midfield and applied clinical touch to nail the game for the Royal club before watching Monaco fans.
Acheampong's goal was his first in 14 months after scoring in December 2014 against Zulte-Waregem.
Mensah, who plies his trade in France for second-tier side Evian Thonon Gaillard, watched the game from the screens and praised the former King Faisal winger for his off-the-bench heroic finish.
He tweeted:
Great pass, fine control and a great finish by #FrankAcheampong #EuropaLeague #MonAnd pic.twitter.com/GfXnYgzm0L
