Jonathan Mensah wants Kevin Prince Boateng and Muntari ti return to the Black Stars squad

Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah wants suspended midfielders Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari to return to the Black Stars with the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers looming.

The two players were slapped with indefinite Black Stars suspensions for various acts of indiscipline during Ghana's participation in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Boateng was sacked from the camp for verbally assaulting coach Kwesi Appiah while Muntari was dismissed from the team for physically attacking Ghana FA official Moses Armah.

Despite their disciplinary problems, France-based defender Mensah says the two players are needed in the Black Stars who start their qualifying campaign against Uganda next month.

Asked, during a chat with fans on Twitter, if he would like to see the two players return to the Black Stars for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Mensah replied "Yes! They're great players!!"

Mensah was fielded questions from football fans as well as a question from Black Stars winger David Accam who asked whether he would love to eat local dish.

Do you agree with Mensah that Muntari and Boateng must return to the Black Stars for the AFCON? Make your views known in the box below:

Gsn, I think you should qualify KPBs so called insult as "alleged". The claim has not been corroborated or proven by anyone. You are professionals so act like it.

I enjoy to see confusion in ghana camp. KPB will now insult Nyantyaki while Muntari will slap Kwesi Ape-ah. After that Ghana will return back home again with 1 point from 2015 Morocco afcon.

No one supports insubordination BUT we must uproot, pull down destroy and overthrow the causes of it.GFA must comport themselves. If they get themselves together I do not think the players will ever ride on them. There is always absolute peace if there is a responsible father at home!!! even if there are problems to solve.GFA acting as father of of soccer in the nation must ensure that there is absolute peace in the footballing fraternity by being responsible!!

well said jonathan in have sad here and will say again you and kwadwo are my men for captaincy at some point just keep raising your game, do extra trianing if you have to and dont get your name involved in controversies so that when you become a leader every one will admire you, have nothing against you and will love to work with and for you. am surprised no bigger team came in for you yet but rest assured they will come for you. i have followed your soundings for a while now. they are the right noises. we are listening and yes i think the authorities will do the right thing. not many ghanaians will throw out thier children out of the family house for truancy when they didnt pay all of the school fees anyway.

due to the poor performance of black star, made Kwesi Appiah and GFA executives to sack those two players in Brazil 2014 because they know Ghanaians will surely complain.the press confrence held after the world, one executive said South Africa 2010 sulley muntari did the same thing and he have go on his knee pleading on behave of Sulley and i think is because of the stage black star reach by then compare to Brazil 2014 that made them to find little little fault from players to put the eyes of Ghanaians on this two players as the cause of our poor performance in Brazil 2014
