Ghanaian defender Joseph Adjei has expressed his desire to win the South African Premier Soccer League (PLS) this season with his side Cape Town City FC.

The former Ghana’s U-20 defender has been ever present for the Blue and Gold Army since joining the side from Ghanaian outfit Wa All Stars in the 2016/17 season.

The 21-year old starred for Eric Tinklers’ side in their 3-2 victory over Kaizer Chiefs in week 25 of the Premier Soccer League to take a commanding position in their hope of annexing their first league title despite having played two more games than second placed side Mamelodi Sundowns.

“We need this points to stretch the league and if we win,we will have the chance of winning the league, it’s a do or die affair and hard work.”

“I want to win the league in South Africa as I did in Ghana with Wa All Stars, so I need the support and prayers from Ghanaians.”

Adjei helped Cape Town City win the 2016/17 Telkom Knockout Cup, defeating Supersports United 2-1 in the final.
