Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah says he is looking forward to the new French season after playing in Evian Thonon Gaillard's 1-0 reverse against Metz in a pre-season game.Ã
The 24-year-old center-back was among second-half replacements for French defender Aldo Angoula, playing the last 15 minutes of the game.
"Last [pre-season] game yesterday. Looking forward to a big season ahead," he tweeted.
After a pulsating first half, Metz won the game through a Bouna Sarr 89th minute strike. The strike ensured Evian ended their pre-season on a losing note as they are billed to begin the Ligue 1 next weekend.
Mensah was a member of the Ghana squad for the 2014 World Cup and played in all of Ghana's 3 games at the tournament.
