Ghana defender Opare arrives for Malawi qualifier

Daniel Opare joins Black Stars camp for Malawi tie

Ghana defender Daniel Opare has joined the Black Stars camp ahead of the 2013 Nations Cup qualifier against Malawi, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 21-year-old arrived on Monday night and was immediately driven to the Black Stars camp at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.

The Standard Liege right-back will thus take part in the side’s first training session on Tuesday morning.

Opare is expected to play from the onset against The Flames in the first leg of the final 2013 Nations Cup qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.

Ghana needs to record a massive win to ensure the second leg to be played in a week’s time is a mere formality.

The Black Stars will however travel to Monrovia after the game on Saturday to play an international friendly with Liberia before the second leg encounter with The Flames.
