Ghana defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh eyes German Bundesliga qualification with Eintractcht Braunschweig

Ghana defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh is eyeing promotion with German second-tier side Eintractcht Braunschweig.

Braunschweig are third on the Bundesliga II table, just three points behind leaders Union Berlin with 11 games to end the season.

The Ghana international has put on the accelerator since he recovered from an injury which ruled him out of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mozambique last year.

But the African, born to a Ghanaian father and a German mother, is keen to secure Bundesliga qualification with the side.

"The fans have been amazing. I not experienced anything like this and I must says Braunschweig have been great. There is a strong bond and we're growing together," he said

"I'm looking forward to home games in the next weeks. The belief has been rising and I'm happy the form is back.

"We are ready for the race."

Braunschweig have amassed 10 points in the last four games.
