Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has described the prospect of winning the league title in just his first season at Mamelodi Sundowns as the ââ¬Ëgreatest feelingââ¬â¢ in his career.
The Brazilians are four points clear at the top of the South African top flight with just two games remaining.
This means Pitso Mosimaneââ¬â¢s side could only need just a point in their remaining two games against SuperSport and Maritzburg United to seal their 6th PSL title in their 44-year history.
Sumaila who only joined the side at the beginning of the campaign after winning the Ghana league in a season-long loan spell at Asante Kotoko is brimming with excitement ahead of what appears to be an inevitable coronation for Sundowns.
ââ¬ÅIt is the greatest feeling in my football career,â⬠he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
ââ¬ÅMyself and my teammates just canââ¬â¢t wait to get our hands on the title.
ââ¬ÅI would however thank Allah for this miracle because I won the league in my first season at Kotoko and now I am going to be a champion again in the South African league in my first season at Sundowns.ââ¬
A home win over SuperSport United on the leagueââ¬â¢s resumption on Tuesday will wrap up the title for Sundowns even before the final round of matches are played.
It will be their first top flight triumph in seven years.
