Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila says he is impressed with the level of competition in the First Capital Plus Premier League.

The former Asante Kotoko defender who has had stints with South Africa side Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Qadsia in Kuawit says he is overwhelmed by the level of competition he has witnessed in the league.

“The league is very intense this season and that is very good for the talent in this country,” Sumaila said

“I have been able to watch a couple of games and I am really impressed with the improvement the league has made.”

Sumaila is currently on holiday in Ghana but is expected to return to Kuwait to finalize a four year contract that has been offered you.
