Qatar-based Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has never hidden his intention to play in the English Premier League and recently saw a move to Scottish side fall through.
Sumaila was a key target for Scottish side Rangers but issues of transfer and player activation meant it was always going to be complicated.
According to the defender the disappointment of being so close yet so far will pepper him to continue working hard and hoping for a better future.
“In football you can never say never. I am a man of strong character because I have been through a lot yet still i am on it,” Sumaila said
“I am working hard and knowing very well that one day the right opportunity will come and I will get it.
“For me I have never hidden my admiration for British football and I will give my all to be there.”
