Ghana defender Samuel played full swing but his Boavista side could only pick up a point in the Portuguese league opener against Vitoria Setubal.

Inkoom, who joined the Portuguese side earlier in the summer was named in the starting lineup of coach Armando Petit’s side and lasted the entire duration.

But it was the host who raced to a two goal lead through Andre Claro and Ruca, Boavista where left with all to do when they had Senegalese Idrrisa Mandiang sent off just before the interval.

They however managed to claw their way back into the game despite being a man down thanks to strikes from Afonso Figueiredo and Brazilian Luisinho.

Samuel Inkoom was booked on the 92nd minute for a foul on Nuno Pinto. The Ghana defender will be encouraged by his impressive game time since moving to the Boavista.
