Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has earned the praise of coach Angelos Anastasiadis following Platanias’ historic 7-0 win over Kalloni over the weekend.

The 24-year-old was impressive in the Greek top flight game where he provided two assists in the goal raid.

Inkoom who is on loan at Platanias from Ukrainian club FC Dnipro is gradually returning to his best form just in time ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

The former FC Basel man has been praised for his surged performance by Platanias coach Anastasiadi who believe the Ghana international is already proving to be one of the best full backs in the division.

“The fans just love him. I think he is one of the best young right-backs in the league,” the Platanias coach said.

“Already I think he's the best looking at the way he played on Sunday.

“He worked hard for the team and also gave out two assist for the forwards to score.

“He is a good player with the great conditions to have a great long-term career.”

Inkoom remains a summer target for some European clubs with reported interest from Olympique Lyon and West Ham United.

Cheap journalism!!! Jeffrey schlup has been impressive for EPL bound Leicester City as left full bac, where we're lacking but nobody cares to write or monitor the young chap. This is the same club ur favourite paintsil struggled to get a playing time 2 season ago. Schlup can play as a striker as well. The championship is much competitive than the Tunisian and the Belgium league, as the earlier our scouts monitor the young chap, the better for us all.In the game of football, a player can peck or loss form in a couple of months but I think our coaches aren't considering that factor of the game.

No coach changes a winning team and besides players are drifted in slowly in order not to completely change the shape of the team!! We have to stop this attitude of hyping and over exaggerating certain players because most at times it backfires on our face and when we take those players on, these same people who overhype them ll come and defend the indefensible!! We have some many egs of certain players hype and over hype by certain fans but when they had their opportunities with the national team, DISAPPOINTED LIKE HIGH SCH PLAYERS! The early we rush a player to a national team, the more they failed and the hard ll be the criticism which affects their confidence at the long run!! IS NOT EVERY PLAYER WE- CAN CALL INTO THE NATIONAL TEAM!!

AA called or invited brimah on three occasions against turkey, zambia and Japan and we all witnesses to what happened to this guy!! He performed wonderfully against turkey in Istanbul by assisting gyan with his first goal and though that was a great contribution, nobody took noticed of it!! He was on the bench against zambia in Kumasi but the funny thing is that, he was in the post against Japan and he committed some elementary mistakes and GHANAIANS HAS NOT FORGIVEN FOR THAT!! That's what am saying here!! Rushing talents into the national team because of OVER-HYPING! This guy is good but his rushing into the national team has destroyed him and it ll take a long time for him to have a second shot but even if he is invited again, WHAT LL BE HIS CONFIDENCE IN THE POSTS? We have to stop been TOO CHARLATANS!!

Bro @the grestest this has got absolutely nothing to do with arm chair coachband analyst. One thing i have learned is that we ghanaians dont wanna hear the truth. I didnt say inkoom is a bad player. All i said that he has lost his form since moving from switzerland to the ukraine. Does that make me an armchair coach or analsyt. Bro the greatest i know u can do better than that. One love bro

@ keit from Germany I used disagree with u on many issues but for this inkoom issue u had it 99.9percen right. Even a blind person who cannot see anything could realise inkoom has lost his form totally am so sad for him because akwasi appiah will call him and christiano ronaldo will let him craw on the field in such that he will forcibly retire from football, imagine Samuel inkoom marking christiano Ronaldo Hahaha the picture does not even look right

I personally think inkoom has lost his form since he moved from fc basel to the ukrainian city of Dniprotrovsk. He should have stayed at fc basel since the money he was earning there wasnt bad at all. Russia and ukraine hasnt been good to our ghanaians players. I cant remember the last time a ghanaian player had a successful stint with a Russian or ukrainian club.i stand to be corrected. Talking of current form i dont think inkoom derserves a place in the stars set up now. When we look back at inkoom in the year 2010 at the Afcon as well as the Worldcup, inkoom was in top form but that cant be said of him in his current situation now.
