Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has earned the praise of coach Angelos Anastasiadis following Platanias’ historic 7-0 win over Kalloni over the weekend.

The 24-year-old was impressive in the Greek top flight game where he provided two assists in the goal raid.

Inkoom who is on loan at Platanias from Ukrainian club FC Dnipro is gradually returning to his best form just in time ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

The former FC Basel man has been praised for his surged performance by Platanias coach Anastasiadi who believe the Ghana international is already proving to be one of the best full backs in the division.

“The fans just love him. I think he is one of the best young right-backs in the league,” the Platanias coach said.

“Already I think he's the best looking at the way he played on Sunday.

“He worked hard for the team and also gave out two assist for the forwards to score.

“He is a good player with the great conditions to have a great long-term career.”

Inkoom remains a summer target for some European clubs with reported interest from Olympique Lyon and West Ham United.
