Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom is the latest to give his seal of approval to ex-Ghana skipper Stephen Appiah as the 34 year old prepares to take to the pitch for the very last time.

Appiah who is credited with uniting a highly talented but divisive Black Stars side to qualify for the world cup in Germany 2006 will play his farewell game this weekend as he brings the curtains down on a sparkling career spanning over two decades.

The former Juventus Stars has invited the high and low who have played a role in his overall evolution from the dusty pitches in Choko to the much greener pitches in Turin where his talent was broadcasted to the entire world.

Samuel Inkoom who benefitted from Appiah’s support coming through the ranks has hailed the 34 year old as the best and urged all to make it a point to help him say a good bye.

‘’Appiah has done wonderful for this nation and I think we all have benefitted in one way or the other from him,’” Inkoom said

“His is a unique person who helped me when I first went to the Black Stars.”

‘”It’s rather unfortunate that the very day the game would be played I would have to report for preseason that day but me and my godfather.”

Inkoom was a member of Ghana’s squad for the world cup in 2014 and has joined Portuguese side Boavista in a bid to revive his career.
