Olympiacos coach José Miguel sent scouts to run the rule over Platanias Ghanaian defender Samuel Inkoom during their 3-2 win over Xanthi in the Greece Super League on Monday night.

The Ghanaian international provided an assist for the side as they recorded the important win to boost their survival hopes.

The 24-year-old has become an important addition to the side he joined on loan from Ukrainian outfit Dnipro.

Inkoom was left thrilled with his man-of-the-match performance against the fellow strugglers.

“The team has been putting up some amazing performances lately and we are happy with the way things are going now,” he told Platanias TV

“It was a tough game away from home but we managed to get the three points here. It’s important for us to be getting these good results because it boasts our confidence as players.

"As a team, we fight to win, lose and draw together.  I am also delighted with my performance once again but like I keep on saying, it’s not all about Inkoom but the team.

“My future?  For me, Platanias comes first and I am very happy we won. ”

Platanias have moved a point above the relegation zone with Inkoom heavily linked with other clubs including West Ham and Olympique Lyonnais.
