Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has started harbouring thoughts of wining the South African league with Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 20-year-old has hit the ground running since joining the Brazilians at the beginning of the season.

Sundowns are currently two points clear at the top of the Premier Soccer League haven lost just once in as many games this season.

And Sumaila who has been a key member of Pitso Mosimane’s side believes his team is on track to reclaiming the South African top flight.

“It has not been easy but I had to keep on fighting to remain in the side,” he told Metro FM.

“Thankfully I am playing regularly which is good.

“I hope this continues so I can help my team win the league by the end of the season.”

Sumaila is in line to make his second Ghana start in the second-leg of the World Cup playoff against Egypt on November 19.
