Ghana FA boss hails new Unibank deal for the Black Stars

Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi believes the new sponsorship deal sealed with Unibank will provide the needed impetus to take the Black Stars a step even further.

The wholly-owned Ghanaian bank unveiled its new sponsorship agreement with the Ghana FA to the tune of $1.2m.

The new three-year deal comes just in time ahead of Ghana’s qualification to its thirs straight World Cup finals.

The latest landmark achievement by the Ghana FA, according to Kwesi Nyantakyi will further boost the Black Stars in striving to attain excellence going forward.

“Anytime we troop to the field, we would have you in mind because we know you represent a vast majority of Ghanaians,” the GFA boss said at the unveiling ceremony on Thursday.

“We would go an extra mile to put smiles on your faces.”

Unibank will be making annual payments of $400,000 to the Ghana FA for the next three years in the new mega deal.

They will also be offering other banking services to the Black Stars team in their new role as the official banking firm of the Ghana national team.
