2018 World Cup: Ghana FA confirms Black Stars will host Uganda in Tamale

The Ghana Football Association has confirmed next month's 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Uganda will be played at the Tamale Sports Stadium. 

This will be the opening Group E qualifier for the Black Stars who will also engage Egypt and Congo.

A statement read on the Ghana FA's official website: "The Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match between the Black Stars of Ghana and the Cranes of Uganda will be played on Friday October 7, 2015 at the Tamale Sports Stadium.

"The match is the Black Stars' Group E opening match for the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup. Other members of the group are Egypt and Congo.

"The match will kick-off at 3:30 p.m."

Ghana last played at the Tamale Stadium in November 2014 where they beat Togo 3-1 in a 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
