The Ghana Football Association has confirmed next month’s friendly international against Canada in Washington.

The match will be played at the RFK Stadium in Washington DC on Tuesday October 13 at 19:00 local time.

A statement of the Ghana FA’s official added: "Coach Avram Grant’s side will use the match as part of their preparations for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers in November where they will face the winner of the first round match between Comoros and Lesotho.

"On their part, the Canadians are in a group which include Mexico, Honduras and El Salvador for a chance to reach the final round of the qualifiers."

Early this month, Ghana beat Congo 3-2 in a friendly played in Brazzaville before accounting for Rwanda 1-0 in Kigali in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations FCON qualifying group stage matches.
