Kwasi Nyantakyi is excited at the number of talents showcased at the national juvenile championships that ended on Sunday at the El-Wak Stadium.

The Ghana FA President sat-in throughout the competition alongside Education Minister Betty Mould-Iddrisu which saw Brong Ahafo Region and Fabulous Ladies emerge winners in the male and female category respectively.

"Of course, this has a lot of significance for the GFA, we organize it first of all to give young people the opportunity to showcase their talents," Nyantakyi told GHANAsoccernet.com after the event.

"We are also looking at the tournament as a platform to unearth talents for the national U-17 team plus it is a huge boost to the development of juvenile football.

"These young ones aside winning Airtel branded prizes, get the opportunity to speak to journalists who will ensure that the whole world know about them and this is a big morale booster to young ones growing up."

Nyantakyi however hoped more cooperate bodies comes on board to ensure the lifetime sustainability of the Championships.

"We have been organizing this competition for sometime now except that we didn't have a sponsor so the prestige associated with it today was not like before thanks to Airtel.

"This therefore means the more cooperate bodies that comes on board, the bigger and better this championship would become.

"What even excites me more is that the nest boys and girls would be taken to South Africa and by the time they return they would be completely different human beings due to the exposure they will get and I am very happy about this," he added.
