Ghana FA boss Kwasi Nyantakyi says his administration is suffering from an adage perception of corruption in football.
There are widespread believes that officials of the association are using their position to line their pockets.
Critics have used transactions such as the sponsorship of the Ghana Premier League as the basis for their entrenched stand of corruption in the Ghana FA.
Others have also used the findings of the Justice Gbadegbe probe where football officials illegally benefitted from player transfers as their reference.
But Nyantakyi in an extensive interview with Kumasi-based Angel FM says this ââ¬Ëfalseââ¬â¢ perception is fuelled by the experiences of the past.
ââ¬ÅPeople always say that we are stealing monies from the Ghana FA,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅThis is not possible because we are being audited by the same audit service that handles the Presidency.
ââ¬ÅWe go to Congress every year where our financial status is made known and so far no one has raised the issue of corruption.
ââ¬ÅI believe this perception is due to experiences in the past. But things have changed.
ââ¬ÅMaybe it is possible for someone to steal money but you will be found out eventually.ââ¬
