New television sponsorship deal for Ghana Premier League

The Ghana FA have confirmed talks with an international firm over the television broadcast rights of the Premier League.

South African-based Super Sports are rumoured to be the said television company who are offering a mega deal to take up the broadcast aspect of the Ghanaian top flight.

The Ghana FA have refused to disclose details and the identity of the international firm as negotiations advance.

But the association says the prospective agreement will excite many when sealed.

“We are in discussions with a company who have proposed an exciting package,” GFA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie-Daara said.

“Discussions are still ongoing but I can tell you it is something very very pleasant and we will be making the big announcement very soon.”

The new firm will replace Optimum Media Prime (OMP) who were the broadcast title holders up until the end of last season.
