The Ghana Football Association will announce the appointment of national team coaches and their assistants on Friday, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

Fourteen coaches have been penciled down for various national team jobs including the Black Meteors, Black Queens, Black Princesses, Black Maidens, CHAN team, Black Satellites and Black Starlets ahead of impending international assignments.

The names of the technical brains who made the cut is not immediately known but sources say big guns like Malik Jabir, Kuuku Dadzie, Bashir Hayford, Karim Zito, Edna Yekey and Fifa referee Mercy Tagoe are some of the coaches who are likely to get the nod.

"The committee did a good job. We’ll be meeting today (Friday) to determine which coaches will get the chance to serve the national team," FA vice-president Jordan Anagbla said.

"It's been a long journey and finally we will make the names public and then we can start with serious preparations for future international assignment.

"The target is to do well in all competition from next year, so we believe those who have been selected, were chosen on merit and nothing else."
