Ghana FA to reward Bernard Morrisson for 2012 Premier League Promising Player of the Year

AshantiGold’s Bernard Morrison will finally be receiving his award for emerging the Promising Player of the Year in the 2012/13 Premier League season.

The 21-year-old has been notified by the Ghana FA of a ceremony to be held on Tuesday to hand him the belated award.

“The Ghana Football Association extends its warm compliments and has the pleasure to inform you that awarded were instituted to deserving personalities during the 2012/13 Glo Premier League which were not presented to the award winners,” a letter addressed to Bernard Morrison and signed by the GFA’s Acting General Secretary Emmanuel Gyimah read.

“We are pleased to inform you that during the season under review you were selected as the Promising Player of the Year.

“In view of the above, the Football Association will organize a simple ceremony at the Board Room of the GFA onTuesday, May 5, 2015 at 10:00am to present you with the award.”

The Promising Player award is handed to the most impressive young player in a football season.

This accolade should’ve originally been handed to the AshGold youngster two seasons ago.
