Ghanasoccernet.com understand that Ebusua Dwarfs’ 21-year-old centre-back, Vincent Atinga has been denied his floating status request.

The former Unistar Academy defender petitioned the Ghana FA's Player Status Committee to grant him a floating status since he had no further interest to continue playing for relegated side.

But his request was turned down on Thursday night by the Player Status Committee who are insisting that he goes back to honour the remaining year left on his contract with the Cape Coast-based club.

Feeling rather disappointed by the Status Committee’s failure to grant him his wish, (Floating Status), Atinga who was hoping to become a free agent to peruse his desired move to giants Hearts of Oak says he has lost the urge to play for Dwarfs and wants a move out of the club with the Phobians being his most preferred destination.

“All the same I don’t think this will stop my interest to play for Hearts of Oak. As it stands now the two clubs will have to negotiate for my release but I pray Dwarfs will not do anything to stop my desire to play for Hearts. Hearts is what I want and no other team," the enterprising center-back said.

I must confess that I am highly disappointed not have been granted my floating status request."
