Ghana finalize preparations for Lesotho clash on a high

Black Stars players in a dancing mood after Thursday's final training session

The Black Stars wrapped up their preparations for their 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers opener against Lesotho brimming with confidence of victory.

Twenty-four (24) players took part in the exercise at the Baba Yara Stadium-venue for the match-without any injury.

The group began by warming up which was led by head coach Kwesi Appiah and his assistant Maxwell Konadu.

The players then scaled over cones and slalomed between poles before kicking a ball. Isaac Vorsah, who is suspended for the tie, jogged with deputy coach Konadu.

Goalkeepers Adam Larsen Kwarasey, Ernest Sowah and Daniel Agyei had separate sessions with trainer Nassam Yakubu.

The team was then divided into two sets; the probable line-up made up of Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey, Jerry Akaminko, John Boye, Harrison Afful as left-back and Samuel Inkoom seems to be preferred as right back.

Sulley Muntari, Kwadwo Asamoah, Derek Boateng and Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu were in midfield.

Jordan Ayew and Dominic Adiyiah were leading the lines.

Jordan powered from long range to score the opener to beat Adam Larsen Kwarasey for those in bibs.

In the second period, Kotoko striker and debutant Ben Acheampong swapped with Dominic Adiyiah.

Daniel Opare also took Inkoom’s bib as Kwesi Appiah test his options.

Adiyiah finished off a nice move by slotting past Kwarasey to a make it 3-1.

Probable line-up to face Lesotho:

Adam Larsen-Kwarasey-John Boye, Jerry Akaminko, Harrison Afful, Samuel Inkoom- Sulley Muntari, Kwadwo Asamoah, Derek Boateng, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu-Jordan Ayew, Kwadwo Asamoah.
