Ghana football strategy forum turns into a farce, Zakkour clashes with Nyantakyi

Zakkour clashed with Nyantakyi at the meeting in Accra on Friday

The forum to review Ghana's football strategy nearly descended into a farce on Friday when a physical altercation between Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi and ex-Hearts of chief Harry Zakkour was averted at the venue of the meeting in Accra.

But for the intervention of some eminent sports administrators, there would have been fisticuffs between former Zakkour and Nyantakyi as the two are part of the team assembled by government to review Ghana's football strategy.

Suspecting that the two-day meeting was a set-up against the current Ghana FA administration, Nyantakyi subsequently pulled out of the meeting before new sports minister Mahama Ayariga convinced him to return.

This comes after Zakkour screamed 'we will remove from the GFA' and the comments did not go down well with Nyantakyi who decided to address the ex-Hearts boss about it.

A video footage taken by MultiTV captured the two men in a serious verbal altercation with Zakour charging at Nyantakyi.

The Hearts former Chairman was also unhappy with the manner in which Nyantakyi approached him fuming, gesturing and had to be held back.

It took the quick intervention of Alhaji MND Jawula, FA spokesperson, Ibrahim Sannie Daara and few other administrators to separate the two men.

When Nyantakyi was convinced to return to the discussions, the deputy sports minister took the two men into a meeting to settle their differences and they emerged smiling which is an indication that the issues have been resolved.

The incident comes in the wake of an embarrassing first round exit by the Black Stars rocked by acts of player indiscipline which resulted in two players- Sulley Muntari and Kevin Prince Boateng being suspended indefinitely.

The forum of eminent football administrators was organised to, among other things, resolve player indiscipline and other issues relating to football administration in the country.

The administrators are expected to make recommendations on Saturday.

Another bad bad mistake. What productive ideas can those recycled football Administrators, Zakour, Jawula and co. bring to bear positively on Ghana footballin this 21st century? As for the new sports minister, the least said about him,the better. Should every ministerial appointment go to a Northerner now under Mahama? What sports has Ayariga played in his life?A man who cannot manage the Information Ministry, how can he perform multi tasks in the Min.of Youth &Sports? Incompetence galore!

Nyantakyi has become a nuisance to the nation. He gets incensed whenever anyone says anything about the GFA as if the GFA belongs to him. He ought to be removed.

Shameless people! Weirdo country! PANYIN BIARA NI OMAN YEMU! All our elders has became tricksters and criminals! This country can now be called a LAWLESS COUNTRY! Shameless empty leaders! So these are the leaders that we have in Ghana? These are the criminals and thugs we have elected as our leaders? This mahama Adm has in fact been the most useless gov this country has been saddled with and is little surprising that our image has been dented globally! Am not surprised at all because VIOLENCE BEGAT VIOLENCE and all our half bake leaders are nothing than criminals and when criminals lead the people, CRIMINALITY BECOMES LEGITIMATE! This country is no more a serious nation and our UNCOUTH BEHAVIORS by our educated morons and thieves has finally collapsed this once powerful country! How can a gov form a three member committee to probe the Brazilian fiasco and disgrace and then suddenly turn around to institute another 60 member delegation to deliberate on the same issue? I can't simply understand the BACKWARDNESS of this gov! I can understand the backward and shambolic nature of this gov? Why do they love to spend our monies carelessly like that? THR three member cmmtte ll be paid for by the state for their works whiles the so called 60 football experts ll also be pay by the state and I don't understand the reason behind the latter one! Why can the gov wait for the three member committee to finish with their investigation of what happened in Brazil and after that the so called experts LL deliberate on their reports to find a lasting solution to these problems? Why the rush? Why kill two birds with one stone? Or this is the right time to provide jobs for the boys and milk the nation more? Now is clear, that the WC is a COCOA SEASON for our politicians and allies and they ll make sure that eachnone of them is benefited from the monies! Unbelievable! I have already said it and I ll repeat it again, PANYIN PAPA BIARA NI OMAN YEMU BIO! Politics has destroyed the moral fibric of this nation and now even our respected elders has become criminals and thieves, fighting in public places and am just wondering if these old wretched morons has any dignity at all and what message they are sending to the youth of this country! Our sports minister went to Brazil and CURSED at a Ghanaian fan using unprintable words that is too shameful to be repeated here by a so called honorable minister! Now, our gfa president is fighting with another old man in full glare of the public and if this is not a clear definition of lawless country and a failed state, then am wondering what's it! We reap what we sow and there are more disgrace in store for us if we don't start to do the right thing starting with the president!

Nyantakyi: this should be your last fight..... Zakour is too much for you only if you know. You're becoming a tyrant and we Ghanaians say no to tyrants. We breathe football in Ghana and we don't want any nuisance disturbing our breathe and so enough of your service. Thanks for all you do. It's time someone else takes the mantle but you and Saanie Darga also AA must go immidiately. Armah Parker was decsiplined in Brazil and it's time for you and your cohorts too to go. Zeal our thanks for telling him the truth to his face. He needs it

Saaiooo!! Onukpa b3 dz3ng lo? Somebody with testicular fortitude should cage the mad dog Kwasi Nyantakyi. As they say, " power corrupts, and absolute power can make one a mad dog". Whoof! Whoof!

Yes quite simple! The bigger, the merrier! I'm 100% sure that, this 60 member committee was formed by ayariga without the president knowledge! What is even more shocking is the president replacing Elvis with ayariga! Lol! This simply the kettle replacing the pot! How can a country which has disgraced itself globally and in a dire strait, rely on ayariga to clean its mess! Lol! Am not into politics but I have studied this dude for a long time and he goofs everything he is put under pressure esp with his public comments and can we really trust this man at this serious and unpredictable stage of our country? This man is incoherent and verbally childish and I can see another MALLAM ISSAH in the making! The sports ministry is Ghana most NOTORIOUS portfolio as is full of criminals who has been there for over 30 years and judging by the communication goofs of ayariga, they ll easily set him up! It just started with the fight between zakkour and NYANTAKYI and he is already heading into the trap! Mark it today!

Nyantakyi has branded GFA and the national teams well. His.problem has been with the local leagues. But honestly the best FA chairman ever. No doubt but he should always be ready for criticism especially from enemies.
