Ghana international striker Jordan Ayew scored a late goal for Aston Villa in their 3-2 home reverse against Watford in the English Premier League on Saturday.

The 23-year-old forward converted a Kieran Richardson assist in the 89th minute at the Villa Park.

Scottish defender Alan Hutton had gifted the Hornets an own-goal to add to Troy Deeney effort after former Manchester City defender Micah Richards had neutralized Odion Ighalo's opener for the visitors.

Ayew artfully step away from Ben Watson with brilliant body swerve before excellently picking his spot with a clinical drive which found the far bottom corner.

The loss means Villa still remain at the bottom of the table with five (5) points and have not equaled a club record of 13-game winless run.

But for Ayew it was an improvement on his scoring statistics as he bagged his third goal of the campaign.
