Ghana forward Jordan Ayew scored the match winner for Lorient in their resistant 2-1 victory over stubborn Caen side in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday night.

It was a game the 23-year-old used to further gild his attacking potency in the French top-flight as he contributed to Lorient's opening goal and scored the winner.

Raphaël Guerreiro had profited from the brilliance of Ayew two minutes before the break as he set up the leveller.

Jordan's feat this season is getting even incredible with his assists and scoring rate. Though Saturday night's goal was his eighth (8th) goal of the season. He has had a hand in 13 goals in Ligue 1 this season, five more than his brother with Marseille (André Ayew 8)

Saturday night was his 150th Ligue 1 appearance and he graced the night with a goal.

While playing full throttle for Lorient, French-born Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah also completed the entire 90 minutes of the game for Caen who finished the game with ten men after defender Damien Da Silva was red-carded.
